Description : La Sergenté is a covered alley located in " Le Parcq de L'Oeillière " in the parish of Saint-Brelade on the Channel Island of Jersey . The megalithic site of La Sergenté dates from the Middle Neolithic (4500-3250 BC ). It is one of the oldest megalithic sites in the Channel Islands. The path is delimited by orthostats of approximately 0.75 m in height. The terminal chamber is round in shape (3.30 m in diameter. The floor of the chamber was paved except in its western part which was covered with a granite slab lying flat. Originally, the pillars supported a corbel. , the remains of which were found during archaeological excavations in 1923.
